A flood to remember

I just wanted to send you this email to thank you and your team for the great job on the pump system you installed in my basement. The team was friendly and courteous, and they completed the job in only a few hours. I decided that it was worth the money to have the peace of mind that there wouldn’t be water in the basement when the next severe storm hit. Soon after that, I found out storms were not the only thing I needed to worry about. Two weeks after the pump system was installed, I woke up to see water flowing out of the new pop-up drain in the back yard. There was only a light rain the night before, so I had no idea what was happening. I ran to the crawlspace in the basement to see a river of water flowing down to the pump. I had no idea where the water was coming from. I ran around to the front of the house to see that a water main had broken. There was a river of water flowing through my front yard towards the house. We finally got the water shutoff about 30-45 minutes later. A check of the security camera in the back-yard showed that the water started pumping out of the pop-up drain at about 4 AM. That means it had been going on for well over 3 1/2 hours before it was shut off. I can’t imagine what would have happened if that pump wasn’t installed. I was in the middle of building and remodeling a finished basement space in the house. Without that system, the finished basement would have been completely flooded, and ruined all of the work I had just finished. The cost would have been ten times what I paid to have your system installed. My heartfelt thanks goes out to you and your company. You saved my house.
