While basement waterproofing paint can keep water from seeping through, it doesn’t work to address the cause of that water or moisture intrusion: hydrostatic pressure. Painting your basement walls with waterproofing paint might seem like it’s keeping your basement dry, but hydrostatic pressure will still continue to push water and moisture against the concrete, which can create cracks and cause further damage to your foundation.
